It's Friday And Mention a Few Blogs Day!

The Mighty M Family
I love her About Me comment: I've got a pretty good gig. I'm a stay at home mom of two children (4 and 2); step-mom to one more (14), and wife to a fabulous and supportive husband. Every day I try to be the best wife/mom/woman I can be. Healthy, strong, and happy. This is my blog.

Today's post will tell you something about how a young woman who has traveled all over the world spent the last year coping with an illness that affected her husband, yet also pulled the best out of her. A beautiful love story.

CK says , "My life is so very blessed by many of the choices my ancestors made in their lives. I find it deeply gratifying to make connections between my life and the lives of those who came before me. I like to search out my ancestors and record what I learn." So all you Genealogy lovers, check this site out!

It's Friday And Mention a Few Blogs Day!

This weeks blog site I want to mention is My Voice, My View

A picture from the blog site My Voice, My View

Under her "About Me", Kelly states that she has a husband and four children. Her posts are about the chaos revolving around her family.  She says she's having fun as she meets so many voices in the blogging world.  While it's true she posts about her family, she also writes about other subjects.  Have
you ever heard the term "Microfiction" ? You can read about it here,  Microfiction Monday.

A recent post laughs about a situation that happened on her birthday, well, why don't I let her tell you, Can a Random Mind Be a Sign of Genius?

If you are a beginning writer I want to point you in the direction of  The Old Silly's Free Spirit, don't let the name fool you.  Marvin D. Wilson is a published author.

His Professor Old Sillys Tutorial Tuesday's, are smart, professional and very helpful!

I hope y'all enjoy these sights as much as I do. Until next Friday, have a blessed week.

It's Friday And Mention a Few Blogs Day!

Today I want to mention a group of blogs. The Loose Bloggers Consortium, is an informal group of bloggers who post on a given topic each Friday. One topic is posted, then each member gives it their individual treatment. The current members are, in aphabetical order:

ASHOK, His catch phrase is, "I Truly Am Not as Smart As Einstein!"

CONRAD,
He believes every question deserves a few more mental watts!

GAELIKAAOut of Ireland, into India

GINGER  People would say she is a contradiction

GRANNYMAR  Ireland is her corner of the world

MAGPIE11,  From the Magpie's Nest

MARIA, Silver Fox Whispers

RUMMUSER . Ramana's Musings, Wisdom by hindsight

ANU,
HELEN,

Our topic this week is on "Coincidences".  I'm amazed at how people can take one topic, embrace it, and come up with totally different concepts to write about.  So give them a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.  And should you want to read by take on this subject, just click Here , which is written on my "A Creative Writer Blog."

It's called , "The Balance Beam."  The blog is about life's balance strategy, Humor and Random overshare. As Charlene herself says, "This blog includes a variety of my experiences and observations, often tied to messages of life balance." Her last post is about There's No Place Like Home! It does mention red shoes, Kansas and travel. Check it out!

It's Promote another Blog Friday!

I have been following Mystery Writing is Murder here for some time. Elizabeth has listed her other blog site, but the title through me off. I thought is was all about recipes and cooking. I visited Mystery Lovers' Kitchen the other day and was very surprised. It does have recipes, but oh so much more. Such as discussions on writing, new books, and ... I don't want to spoil the surprise. Take a look see, I think you will enjoy it.

Another good blog that I've discovered is Katherine's Corner, it's a good mixture. I think you will find her interesting.

If you like good old New England stories and pictures, give On Lorch Lane a visit. You should see the beautiful snow mixed in with pictures of the dainty sweater she knitted. Plus check out the beautiful Olympic's uniforms! (Not)

I hope you enjoy these blogs as much as I do!

A post worth reading-another Blog site!

I know I have mentioned Stephen McCarthy's site before.  I had suggested to him that he present an insight into who he is without too much BS.  He sorta fulfilled that today as an interview.  I say sorta because he just can't leave off the laughing at himself completely! lol It is definitely an interesting read, so if you have a chance pop over there and read what he has to say, you can read what he wrote here,  Stephen McCarthy Stuffs

Promote A Blog Friday!

Bob the Squirrel, sunning lazily on a spring day (have you ever seen one lay flat on his stomach like that?)

It's Friday, again!  Just a few more hours and it's the weekend! I'm going to add an additional step, it's a take off of "The Secret is in the Sauce".  Look at the comments and click on the names to go see their blogs. Below are some of my old favorites and some new favorites!

Fleur de Aleta, is a blog about a girl, a guy, her cat and his dog, our lives together.  Aleta's post on Thursday deals with her being selected to serve on jury duty and how juror's are selected.  Do you know what a "shadow juror" is?

Mural Maker and More, Colleen offers how too's on such things as how to do a Painted Silk Wall Hanging. Or my favorite painted closet doors!

The Mighty M Family, Teri, in addition to showing off her beautiful children, is presently offering tips on camera settings.  She does have a great selection of pictures!

So give the above blogs a look see and try a few on the comment side as well! And if you like friction and non-fiction writing, give my other blog a look see as well! A Creative Writer in Progress....

It's Promote another Blog Friday!

Look at that grin!

The only girl on the team!

It's Friday, a day where I want to promote other blogs.  So here are a few to check out:

2 Wired 2 Tired, She's trying out products as well as posting about her family.

Agnes's Pages, Today's post will tell you something about how a young woman who has traveled all over the world spent the last year coping with an illness that affected her husband, yet also pulled the best out of her. A beautiful love story.

Change of Heart Stress Solutions, today she's talking about mood food!

My Voice My View, is talking about sensitivity in her family.

Jules, I love what Jules says in her "About Me" part of her blog.."I've been married to my best friend for 27 years." Jules writes about her family, which is about to increase by one.

Gaelikaa writes about what it's like being an Irish Lass married to someone from India and now living there and raising her children.  Where West meets East.

Gifts of the Journey, What's it like for a woman from Georgia, married to an Englishman and living in England.  She uses her own photographs and insights!

Stephen McCarthy, and don't forget about his posts. I should go over and see what he's talking about today. Don't be fooled by the bravado, he's really trying to get a message out!

JUST ABOUT TODAY IN MY LIFE-Check Out Some Good Blogs!

Patio at my brothers house, waterfall and all 12/2009

The above picture shows what kind of day we're having, sunny and cold! A beautiful day to look out the window, but not actually have any reason to go outside! I know you mid-westerners and those really up north are thinking, 29 degrees, they're having a heat wave! But when your average temperatures are usually in the mid 50's and 60's, it's is freezing cold! Thankfully I lived in Oklahoma for four years and have a really warm coat.  But there are a lot of people with only denim or sweatshirt jackets!  Talk about people staying at home in front of their televisions or computers, this is the weather to do so!  Order pizzas and drink hot chocolate, way to go.

Speaking of hot chocolate, what is your favorite recipe? I found my favorite on one of my favorite blogs, Feeding Five For FiftyHot Hottie ,

Hottie Hot Hottie!

I'm going to list some good blog sites. Some are new ones that I just discovered and some are my favorites, but all are worth a look see!

Denise-Success In The Suburbs, I discovered this site today from a comment Denise left.  When I left her blog, I understood what she was going through, as well as laughing to myself at how she phrased everything! Real but humorously! She actually has three blogs, all worth reading.
Jenie-Life around you N me,  Jenie is from the Philippines.  I've been following her for about a month now. She's a young woman interested in people and where she lives.
Mommyhood, Rocket Scientist, and Drool, is the blog of a lawyer turned stay at home mom, who lives with her husband (the Rocket Scientist) and their first child, a lovely daughter.  This blog is a daily posting to her journal that one day she will give to her daughter to read.  It's the ups and downs, joys and a few rantings, when Miss Priss decides she's no longer taking naps.
Earth's Imagined Corners, this is a new site.  She's been accepted into the Foreign Service, so this is her journal of planning, being accepted and the training before being sent to her posting.
From A Yellow House In England, Dori is originally from Georgia.  She married Brit Boy and now lives in England.  This is her journal on her new life.I've been following Dori for a while, she has some great pictures on her posts!

Communication Exchange, Patricia blogs to help those of us who use to be good spellers but now wonder is this right or how should I.  She has posted on topics that I have used several times.  She isn't condescending or teachy either! On top of that, she's a great listener!
Stephen McCarthy, Do you like people with a dry sense of humor and that loves to talk about subjects that are popular, only his take is usually the opposite?  I'm still trying to get a handle on Stephen, but I've never been disappointed leaving his posts! Some are funny and some I think, does he really believe that are is he pushing buttons!
In Him I Live, a very good Bible Study blog and more! She's a friend of Lee's from Tossing It Out.

Youth Parliment, Sheeza is a young girl from Pakistan.  I have been following her for some months.  I enjoy seeing  her growth in her writing and subjects.  She's reaching out and changing by leaps and bounds.

So if y'all get a chance, check these out, I think you will enjoy them.
